I would also like to announce the home of my new 3DMayaArtist tutorial series on youtube. During this I'll be giving tips on modeling and texturing for both games and film. A lot of these tips will be from difficulties I've had in my own work - and solutions I've come by - that will hopefully speed up the process for others!

Please check it out and subscribe if you are interested -

I would like to announce the home of my new work - http://clairewarren.daportfolio.com/

I have just created this portfolio and love the layout. It's very easy to navigate and just looks a lot more professional than my old website! I will still update my blog (hopefully more regularly than I have been doing) but this is going to be the place where I showcase all my finished work. Please take a look!

Mountain Terrain

Hi everyone. I created this mountain terrain in the Unreal Development Kit game engine with tileable textures - uses displacement and detail maps.

Bathroom Interior

So I have finished this image! I kept finding there was more I could do - sometimes it's hard to know when to stop. Although I've decided that once you can only see improvements by starting parts all over again... it's best to end and it and move onto something new. So here we go... I'm pretty pleased with it, im using lots of layered shaders - went a bit out of control with my bump maps - and crashed maya many times! But finally got there.

Textures

So this is my progress so far. I've really started to dirty the place up and add a bit of my own imagination to it - which is a lot of fun! I've still got a lot of work to do on textures and unfortunately not a lot of time lately! This is down to getting some CG commissions - which is great, however it means this has to take a back seat. I'm hoping some time will free up soon though - and I can get back to it :)
